Our Story

From Dream to Farmstead…

Although our farmstead journey kicked off with a leap of faith in 2022, the seed of hope had been planted long before that.

Even as a child, I always dreamt of living in the country and raising my own livestock and food. When our first son, Tyler was just 2 years old, a small puppy and a backyard garden in the suburb seemed to be the best we could manage. But working the soil together with my little boy sparked something inside of me. Our first garden was amazing and better yet, one neighbor had fruit trees and another had backyard chickens. Soon we had what amounted to a small co-op sharing and trading the food we grew. I didn’t realize it at the time, but that was the start of a much bigger dream.  

Thirteen years and a lot of hard work, sacrifices, and saving later; Buffalo Acres Farmstead would finally start becoming a reality…
